The London Accord

The London Accord is a cooperative research programme to assess investment in climate change initiatives. Under this initiative, mainstream investment research houses will be assessing current investment opportunities in carbon reduction and analysing them in terms of “cash-in, carbon-out”. The results will be very valuable in determining the most effective allocations of private and public money to solve the problem of climate change.

Forum for the Future’s role is to gather input from NGOs and civil society, to make sure that the analysis takes proper account of key social and environmental issues which will have a bearing on investment decisions.

BP and the City of London Corporation are providing support for the initiative. Z/Yen consulting is playing an advisory role. The London School of Economics and the Santa Fe Institute will be providing academic input.
