Qualities of a leader business
It can be hard to keep up with best practice and really get to grips with which issues have the potential to substantially impact your business. This online resource builds on the recently published leader business 2.0 – hallmarks of sustainable performance and showcases today’s best examples of business and sustainability.
The collection contains a wider range of case studies than covered in the report and is updated with new examples regularly. The case studies here also tend to be more detailed than the published ones.
In the report we present a framework that can help businesses approach sustainability in a systematic way, by separating out ten areas of general business activity. We encourage businesses to identify the areas that are most relevant and with the highest impact for them, and start aiming for leadership in those.
But we also lay down some basic rules for the leader business – without a deep understanding of sustainability and how it is core to creating long-lasting value, and without stretching targets towards operating within environmental limits, no business can lay claim to being a leader.
Clicking through on each category below will take you a selection of case studies of current practice, along with the performance hallmarks.
